In only a few hours the national movement against the bailout nation begins in cities across the US. From City Hall in New York City and Independence Hall in Philadelphia, to the White House in Washington, the Saint Louis Arch and the Santa Monica pier in California, American taxpayers are launching a movement against the bankrupting of our country. Michelle Malkin has an update on the various tea parties being held on Friday, February 27th. But there are also many more that are taking place in small towns across the country, which aren’t listed yet. I talked to activists in Sacramento, Tampa, Jacksonville, Atlanta and elsewhere today and they are fired up and ready to go!
This movement is just the beginning of a much bigger revolution by grassroots Americans to take a stand against the spending spree in Washington. I’ll do my best to report from the Washington protest, and also upload video from around the country. Thank you to everyone who is leading or participating in this protest on Friday. We are all part of something big tomorrow, and it will only get bigger and louder.
Over the weekend I’ve talked to many people that are planning their own tea party protest ….The website is http://newamericanteaparty.com….
We want irresponsible spending in Washington to stop.
This website is to help people connect with each other and with the protests against the obscene spending. Nations that spent more than they produce fail, undergone severe economic problems. Their currency collapses, and they fade from importance on the world stage.
Show your support for the closest Tea Party. Find out when and where the next gathering is in your city. Invite your friends and family. Let it be known that you don’t support the “Stimulus”.
Yesterday I was able to spend a couple of hours at the Texas Tea Party, the anti-stimulus, anti-bailout, anti-campaign donor refund, and anti-bank recovery protest. It was held at one of my regular hangouts, Fort Worth’s Cowtown Bar and Grill.Having this event spontaneously erupt at my favorite watering hole is like a dream. One of those What-If-I-Ran-The-World dreams. I halfway expected to go

I need a caption for this picture.Fembuttx won last week’s contest, which is what I deserve for selecting a picture like that one.
The Aggie talked me into taking her to Billy Bob’s tonight to hear Texas A&M alum Robert Earl Keen.I didn’t require a lot of persuading. Great show. The band was the same as you’ll see here, minus the banjo:Rich Brotherton, the guy playing the guitar solo at the 1:20 mark, probably isn’t human. Or he’s made a deal with Satan.I think The Aggie turned down two different cowboys who wanted to dance.
Here’s MSNBC’s Rick Santelli getting his 15 minutes of fame.In slightly related news, the group ACORN (which recently got a few jillion stimulus dollars for community organizing) is now breaking into homes as a protest against “the forclosure crisis”.After snapping a lock with bolt cutters, ACORN member Louis Beverly told supporters “this is our house now.”ACORN staged the demonstration to

With the Chicago Tea Party just a day away… I can’t help but slip into a deep and dangerous realization of what is happening to our great country.
What are we protesting and why?
Now that the Chicago Tea Party planning is in full swing, and more than 1,000 activists are planning to attend a local event this Friday, we think it’s time to host a brainstorming session on clever and attractive sign slogans.
NOTE: We’ve launched the Official Chicago Tea Party website!
If you haven’t yet seen the Rick Santelli meltdown on CNBC… take a minute to watch our modified version.
Essentially, Rick Santelli, “On-Air Editor” for CNBC reached the boiling point with all the socialist, nationalist, anti-American legislation Democrats are hammering us with. In his delicious rant, he suggests we all meet in Chicago during the month of July for a Chicago Tea Party to show support for free-markets and protest bankrupt liberal ideology.
Not only do we pledge to have a representation at this Chicago Tea Party… we’re going to aggressively support the organization and marketing of the event itself.
Being a Chicagoan, I can tell you first hand the nightmare the liberal agenda has laid upon us here in Illinois. If you’ve tried to park your car, pay your rent, purchase some food, book a hotel room, buy a bottle of water, or smoke a cigarette in this city, you’ve probably felt the wrath of liberal over-taxation.
Chicago is corrupt, over-taxed, over-governed, and my opinion, completely out of control. The bad news is… this is the exact same direction Obama is leading Washington in.
Enough is enough. Stay tuned folks… it’s time.
UPDATE: Currently there are more than 65,000 votes on the CNBC Poll about the Chicago Tea Party.
