Tea Party Mission Statement: The goal of the peaceful “Tea Party” rallies held nationwide is for citizens of the United States of America to communicate opposition to the actions of the Obama administration, and the liberal Democratic Congress, that adversely effects all segments of society while appearing to pursue the benefit of some.
We’re planning a Tea Party in Tyler, Texas 12-1:30 pm, exact location TBA. Afterwards, we’re having a Texas Tea Party Tailgater, and caravanning to the Dallas tea party that night.(more…)
“We may be approaching a tipping point where this political class and establishment amass such power and resources that efforts to dislodge them become futile, and Americans are no longer sovereigns, but subjects. …..”
“true representative government has been supplanted by an inbred, self-serving, self-perpetuating political class that does not represent the people. As a result, the government has escaped the control of the people.” more
Read the whole thing – public protests against insane spending (this is not a partisian issue) might wake some of these spenders up.
Let’s compare the current spending by the US Government to an average family. Suppose the couple made after taxes about $80,000. They decided to buy a nice house for $160,000, and financed it over 30 years. They’ve long term financed an expensive asset valued at twice their income.
The US Government projected 2009 2 Trillion dollar deficit is twice the collections from individuals’ taxes for the USA. It’s a similar comparison.
The above mentioned couple will be paying for the house for 30 years. Won’t the US Taxpayers be strapped with the burden of 2 Trillion dollars of spending for a similar period of time?
That’s not acceptable, for our kids to inherit such a debt. Worse, the 2 Trillion is only an initial estimate after just a month in office for these clowns. How high will it go?
Our website dates from the first of the Tea Party Protests, in Feb 2009 Then it looked like April 15 2009 might be a half dozen protests in Texas. By the week prior to 4-15-2009, I stopped counting at 87 protests. About that time we figured out the attitude of the TV media to ignore the largest public demonstrations since Vietnam. So no problem, we rented a helicopter to record the crowd size at the Alamo 4-15-2009.
